This is not a government records office. Morris County Residents Directory cannot obtain a record, certify a copy, confirm a current address, or change an official database. Direct those requests to the record custodian. For an emergency, call 911. For stalking or harassment concerns, contact local law enforcement.

Finding the Correct Record Custodian

Use the records category to select the right Morris County or New Jersey office:

  • Property, parcels, and a street: use By Street and begin with the Tax Board or municipal assessor.
  • Historical city directories: use City Directories for library and archive holdings.
  • A named person or court trail: use the Resident Lookup method.
  • County office roles and OPRA: see Morris County Records Offices.
  • County administrative records not online: submit a focused request to the proper custodian under the New Jersey Open Public Records Act, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq.
